Typhoon Dolphin Triggers Widespread Flooding in China, Puts Beijing on High Alert
In Hubei province, flooded streets, landslide risks and rising water levels have disrupted daily life, while tourist sites have been closed and 26 high risk construction projects suspended. Nearly 10,000 people have been evacuated from areas facing heightened flood risks. Beijing is also preparing for intense rainfall with four districts activating
the highest level of flood response. Forecasters expect the capital to receive more than one third of its annual rainfall within 24 hours, raising concerns over flooding and transport disruptions.
